The Map of Becoming

The Map of Becoming isn’t a map of where I’ve been, but of how far each story took me from comfort. Everyone’s would look different.

When we look at the night sky, we’re looking into the past. Some of that light left its star before we were born; we never see a star as it is, only as it was. Stories work the same way. The moments pass, the people who lived them change, but the light keeps traveling, shaping who we become next.
